My name is Stephen Jackman (Steve), born in 1966.
I started life as a cabinet-maker and furniture- maker.
After making and repairing many clock cases I became very interested in the movements. Back in 2000 after working on clocks for a few years I started attending short courses in clock repairs. This then led onto a full time Post-Graduate course in Conservation and Restoration of Antique Clocks at West Dean College in 2005.
I achieved membership of The British Horological Institute in 2006.
I also have certificates in Clock Restoration and Conservation from Sussex University and The British Antiques Dealers Association.
In 2016 I was upgraded to FBHI.
Since 2005 I have been running my own business repairing and rebuilding clocks as a full time occupation.
